The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ group manned phone banks in the main UNC-TV studio in Research Triangle Park, appearing many times during the live pledge breaks throughout the evening hours. Timon Linn, associate director of campus safety and police, raised the most money for UNC-TV among ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ volunteers, logging pledges totaling $2,650. President Emeritus Earl Danieley was honored by the UNC-TV staff with a special gift, an award-winning coffee table book, “Carolina Preserves” by North Carolina artist William Mangum.

In addition to Linn and Danieley, other ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ volunteers included students Kristin Belton, Aric Berg, Ellen Connor, Scott Myrick and Adrienne Winston; faculty members Bob Blake and Ken Paul; and staff members Holley Berry, David Hibbard, Trip Durham, Kathy Smith, Shannon Tennant, Kitty Parrish and Dan Anderson.

During the broadcast, Shannon Vickery, Senior Correspondent and Managing Editor for the North Carolina NOW program, interviewed Anderson twice about ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s recent national recognition and the numerous world leaders and scholars who have appeared on campus.
