The Alumni Board held its first meeting in Johnston Hall, the new center for alumni activities on South Campus. They considered issues raised in President Lambert’s paper, titled “On Arriving, Deepening and Sustaining: Key Questions about ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Future.”
Alumni reflected on the qualities and attributes that should be preserved about the university as well as areas of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ that could be improved. They also spent a great deal of time discussing ways to expand connections between ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and alumni of all ages.
Input from the Alumni Board will be added to the thoughts of faculty, parents, student and trustee groups that will be considering the same kind of questions. The material gathered from these groups over the next several months will provide the basis for planning for the next phase of the NewCentury@ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ strategic plan and for the next ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ fundraising campaign.
