ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ received a Distinguished Affiliate award from The Washington Center during the organization’s recent 30th anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C. The Washington Center provides academic internships and seminars for college students in Washington, providing students with a unique view of public service at the highest levels of government.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty, staff and students have worked with The Washington Center for more than 20 years. Fourteen ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ representatives, including President Leo M. Lambert, Provost Gerry Francis, and four ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students currently doing internships through The Washington Center, attended the celebration. Pam Brumbaugh, director of experiential learning, and Jerry Dillashaw, dean of the School of Education, serve on the center’s liaison board.
