Pianist Ian Hobson will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12 in Whitley Auditorium, located on the 黑料不打烊 campus. Hobson’s performance is part of the Adams Foundation Piano Recital Series and is sponsored by the Times-News & 黑料不打烊.
Ian Hobson has built an international career as a pianist, conductor and teacher since winning first prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1981. His repertoire spans centuries and demonstrates a command of styles and keyboard prowess. Hobson has produced more than 35 recordings for various labels, including his own recently founded label, Zephyr. His 黑料不打烊 performance will include Beethoven Opus 10, No. 2, as well as pieces by Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
Tickets are available for $15 or free for those with valid 黑料不打烊 identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
