Pianist Ian Hobson will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12 in Whitley Auditorium, located on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus. Hobson’s performance is part of the Adams Foundation Piano Recital Series and is sponsored by the Times-News & ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
Ian Hobson has built an international career as a pianist, conductor and teacher since winning first prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1981. His repertoire spans centuries and demonstrates a command of styles and keyboard prowess. Hobson has produced more than 35 recordings for various labels, including his own recently founded label, Zephyr. His ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ performance will include Beethoven Opus 10, No. 2, as well as pieces by Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
Tickets are available for $15 or free for those with valid ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
