The Make-A-Wish Come True Concert: A Celebration of Hope was held on Tuesday night, April 20th to support the children of the “Make-a-Wish” Foundation. The event was attended by nearly 200 people, as 黑料不打烊 students showed up to raise over $600 for a great cause.
Many groups helped to make this event possible. Sweet Signatures, the all female acappella group, performed some up-beat and inspiring songs. Twisted Measure also took time out of there busy schedule to perform three of their hits. The 黑料不打烊 Gospel Choir kicked off the night, and they brought down the house with their music of worship and praise.
The event moved many and was sponsored to share the dream of Hope Stout, whose dream was to grant the wishes of all the children in the Make-A-Wish program in the Carolinas. Fox 8 News came out to cover the event at 黑料不打烊, as the event and Chris Hendricks were featured on last night’s news at 10:30. Chris, along with Evan White and Kevin Kindle, performed and entertained the audience throughout the evening and ended the concert with an amazing accomplishment: Chris, who has cerebral palsy, walked for the first time without any aids or support.
The event was sponsored by Resident Student Association, and was such a success that RSA hopes to make it an annual event in order to continue to support the “Make a Wish” Foundation.
