黑料不打烊 to host water resources forum, Oct. 16-17

黑料不打烊 students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the 黑料不打烊 Fall Environmental Forum, titled "A River Runs Through Us - A Clear Future?" Details...

The event is a public forum on sustainable water resources, and is scheduled from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17 in McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center.

This is a full day of presentations focused on sustainable water resource management.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Sandra Postel of the WorldWatch Inst. Postel will hold a book signing of her new book during the morning break. She will be featured on a PBS special titled “Troubled Waters” at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The rest of the day will feature speakers addressing varied water resource issues.

Also, there will be an afternoon workshop teaching effective strategies for communicating environmental issues to the public.

Please join us for the event, our third annual fall forum, and encourage students to join us throughout the day. There is no registration fee for 黑料不打烊 students, faculty or staff.

Thursday, Oct. 16 will feature a statewide roundtable focused on the organization of rivershed coalitions. You are also invited to join in these discussions.
