Heavy traffic expected Saturday due to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College’s graduation

With more than 9,000 people expected to attend commencement exercises at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College on Saturday, May 19, traffic in the area is expected to be heavy during most of the day.

The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. under the oaks in front of West Residence Hall on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus. Traffic will be at its heaviest from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Campus police will have about 35 officers directing traffic and manning intersections. The North Carolina Highway Patrol has been requested to assist with traffic on Interstate 85/40 and U.S. 70. A portion of Lebanon Avenue that is adjacent to the campus will also be closed on Saturday.
