ELON COLLEGE, N.C. – The international education programs at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College have been recognized for excellence by the North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE). William Rich, dean of international programs, accepted the award on behalf of the college at the group’s annual conference, held March 24 at Meredith College in Raleigh.
NCAIE is composed of international educators at colleges and universities in North Carolina. The award recognized ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s efforts to increase the number of students studying abroad and to recruit international students and faculty members.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ ranks first in the nation among master degree-granting institutions for the percentage of students studying abroad. Forty-six percent of graduates have spent time studying in a foreign country and more than half the faculty members have led students in international travel and study. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has affiliations with universities in seven nations.
