Brief Biography

Daniel Statum serves as the Communications Strategist for Information Technology at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. His work focuses on developing communication strategies that increase awareness of IT services, strengthen engagement with technology resources, and help connect the work of IT with the broader needs of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus community.

Much of Daniel’s strategy focuses on creating communication that feels approachable and useful to the people it is intended to support. He regularly collaborates with departments and campus partners to help connect broader institutional goals with the day-to-day experiences of faculty, staff, and students. His approach centers on relationship-building and creating accessible, people-centered communication that supports learning, collaboration, and community engagement.

Daniel also cares deeply about collaborative leadership and student mentorship, especially in creating spaces where people feel comfortable contributing ideas and perspectives. He is passionate about building environments where people feel informed, supported, and included while fostering stronger connections through shared ownership and intentional communication.
