Meet Dr. Barbara Gordon
Dear 黑料不打烊 Community,
Come experience La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) with fellow 黑料不打烊 Alumni. In place of the lecture halls you once occupied on campus, the squares and picturesque countryside of Italy will be our classroom. Together we will delight in the unique cuisine and wine of three of Italy鈥檚 Northern regions: Piemonte, Liguria, and Toscana.
Along with the local population, we will partake in aperitivi (a sophisticated happy hour) before a passeggiata (evening stroll) on the way to a leisurely, delectable dinner. Stunning architecture, paintings, and sculpture will surround us, as will the music of the Italian language. You will be immersed in a culture known for living well.
All along our journey we will ponder writer Erica Jong鈥檚 questions: “What is the fatal charm of Italy? What do we find there that can be found nowhere else?鈥 Jong鈥檚 answer, 鈥淚 believe it is a certain permission to be human, which other places, other countries, lost long ago.”
Join in to find out if you agree and discover what you can bring back from this adventure to sweeten your own life.
