Short-Term Programs

Short-Term programs are Study Abroad and Study USA courses developed and led by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff that typically focus on a specific subject area. One or more program leaders travel with a cohort of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students to learn and explore together. By design, short-term programs integrate many group activities into their curriculum and provide a structured, enriching global engagement.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Center programs are ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s signature opportunities both abroad and in the USA and offer ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students unparalleled opportunities to integrate global engagement programs into the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ experience. On an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Center program, you will study with a group of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students and typically have the support of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty member on-site. These programs are offered in partnership with organizations abroad, but are customized to fit the needs of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students.

Affiliate & Exchange Programs

On our semester and summer affiliate programs, you will take part in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. organization or directly enroll in classes at a university abroad. These programs are carefully vetted to ensure that they align with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ standards for study abroad. Students can meet major requirements and continue progress towards their ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ degree.

Dual Degree Program

The Dual Degree Program allows ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students to spend their first two years studying at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and their last two years studying and working abroad. The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business is partnered with ESB Business School in Reutlingen, Germany, NEOMA Business School in Reims, France, Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE in Madrid, Spain, and Universitá Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza, Italy, to offer four year dual degree programs where students earn one degree from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and one from a partner institution.

Non-ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Petitions

The Isabella Cannon Global Education Center (GEC) requires students to attend ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ-vetted study abroad programs unless there is a compelling academic reason to attend a program not reviewed and vetted by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. If you choose to explore other, non-ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ programs during the semester, Winter Term, or summer, you must complete a petition.

Other Global Experiential Opportunities

If you plan to arrange your own academic internship, conduct independent research or an independent study abroad under the supervision of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty member, part of your approval process includes GEC approval.
